Regulation 8 under II of the Water Supply Regulations state that no chemical other than waht approved by the State Water Authority shall be used for the treatment of water to be supplied to the public and the use and storage of such approval chemicals shall be in accordance to the methods, specification and practice approved by the State Water Authority Regulation 9 under Part III of the Water Supply Regulation 1995, no fitting shall be used for convenying and receiving water supplied from the mains unless such fitting is approved by the State Water Authority

The application is required to submit the supporting documents below:

1. SPAN Product Certificate (Compulsory for product manufactured outside Sarawak)
2. SIRIM / IKRAM / ANQAS product certificate or recognized certification body (Compulsory)
3. Halal Certificate (Compulsory for chemicals)
4. Other Product Certificate from Recognized Product Certification Authority (International) (Supporting)
5. Product Cataglogue (Compulsory)
6. Job Reference (Compulsory)
7. Authorised Letter (Compulsory for suppliers if products supplied by another company)
