Endowment Fund Sarawak (EFS) is a RM1,000 worth initiative given to all Sarawak born children in the form of savings beginning in 2019 regardless of race, religion or socio-economics.
Endowment Fund Sarawak (EFS) is to assist Sarawakian children in preparation for furthering their studies to higher education, a career starter or as a small business model.
- Copy of MyKad (front and back) for either or both parents with status 'K' on MyKad
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Adoption Certificates (for adopted children only)
1. Malaysian Citizens
2. Born in or outside of Sarawak
3. Both parents or one of them are MyKad holders with ‘K’ status
4. Application are made during the birth registration or within ONE (1) year after birth
5. For category of adopted child:
2. Born in or outside of Sarawak
3. Both parents or one of them are MyKad holders with ‘K’ status
4. Application are made during the birth registration or within ONE (1) year after birth
5. For category of adopted child:
- Both parents or one of them are MyKad holders with ‘K’ status; and
- Obtain a valid Certificate of Adoption.
- For applications in Sarawak, please bring the form and supporting documents and proceed directly to the JPN branch to apply for EFS.
- For applications from Peninsular Malaysia, W.P. Labuan or Sabah, applicants must obtain certification (Certified True Copy) from a JPN Officer at JPN in Peninsular Malaysia, W.P. Labuan or Sabah before submitting the application to the JPN Headquarters in Sarawak.
- For applications from outside Malaysia, applicants must obtain certification (Certified True Copy) from the Malaysian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate General's Office before submitting the application to the JPN Headquarters in Sarawak.
Application Methods
Please be informed that online applications are still in the process of development. Therefore, only manual application methods are available.
1. For applicant in Sarawak
For applicants residing in Sarawak, they are required to be present and apply manually at any of the 49 branches of the National Registration Department (JPN) in Sarawak.
2. For applicant outside Sarawak
For applicants residing outside Sarawak, applications can be made by posting all documents as mentioned above to the following address:
