Endorsement for Certificate of Competency as a Chargeman

Competency as Chargeman is a certification that recognizes a person who has sufficient experience carrying out work in an environment where electrical equipment is in operation and has had experience of controlling live equipment, successfully attended chargeman course at accredited institution and passed the theory, practical and EOER examinations. Only Competent Person as Chargeman is authorized and allowed to work, operate or be in control of any work or operation of an electrical installation.
 
The category of Certificate of Competency as Chargeman for Low Voltage is as follows:
 
  1. L1 - authorized to be in control of an electrical equipment in relation to low voltage switchboard
  2. L2(O/H) - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to low voltage overhead line
  3. L2(U/G) - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to low voltage underground cable.
  4. L3 - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to low voltage generating Substation.
  5. L4 - installation of Off-Grid and/or On-Grid solar photovoltaic panel and accessories.
  6. H1 - authorized to be in control of an electrical equipment in relation to voltage higher than low voltage electrical substation.
  7. H2(O/H) - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to voltage higher than low voltage overhead line.
  8. H2(U/G) - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to voltage higher than low voltage underground cable.
  9. H3 - authorized to be in control of an electrical installation in relation to voltage higher than low voltage generating Substation.

Documents attachment required for this form:
 
  1. Relevant supporting letter to change the certificate’s restriction from company.
  2. Sworn affidavit for change of name/religion.
 

The application can be made through the online application systems as below:
  1. eUTILITIES System at  https://eutilities.sarawak.gov.my, atau
  2. Sarawak Government Portal at https://sarawak.gov.my
 

Applicant criteria for endorsement application for Competent Electrical Engineer:
 
  1. Valid Certificate of Competency as a Chargeman
  2. Have supporting document for the purpose of endorsement.
 

Application is not eligible for endorsement application for Chargeman:
 
  1. No attached a Letter recommendation to change the restriction from company.
  2. No attached Sworn affidavit certificate for change of name/religion.
