The Lampu Jalan Kampung (LJK) program is being implemented to illuminate the coverage area so that social, recreational, and business activities can be conducted safely and comfortably at night. The LJK program will be implemented in stages, and continuous operating and maintenance expenses will be covered by the government. 
To apply for Lampu Jalan Kampung, applicants can submit a letter of application to the nearby district office or resident office.
All rural villages that are connected to the main grid line are eligible to be considered for the installation of Lampu Jalan Kampung.
Documents attachment required for this form:
1. A copy of representative Mykad
2. Detailed sketch of LJK location
3. Supporting document from YB
No payment is charged.
Villages that are yet to be connected to the main grid are not part of this program. Hence, it excludes traditional villages located within the Local Council jurisdictional area that have streetlights installed and were paid for by the Local Council.
 
Housing estates or resettlement areas developed by private parties or individuals are also not included in this program.
