Certificate of Competency as Cable Jointer is a certification that recognizes a person who has sufficient experience in jointing, connecting and terminating of various types of cables which are likely to come under his/her charge, passed the examination at accredited institution and interview by Board.

Only Competent Person as Cable Jointers are authorized and allowed to carry cable jointing works based on their competency’s certificate restriction.

1. Passport-sized photograph.
2. A copy of applicants Mykad and/or passport.
3. If Work permit is required, please attach (For Non-Sarawakian only).
4. A copy of Educational/vocational certificates and transcripts of subjects.
5. Competency certificates currently in possession.
6. Details of relevant courses attended.
7. Details of working experiences.
8. Evidence of being involved in cable joining work under the supervision of a mentor (Cable Jointer):

1. ten times for 11kV, and
2. six times for 33 kV

1. Malaysian citizen.
2. Age not less than 20 years old.
3. Not less than three years working experience in the jointing, connecting, and terminating of cables.
4. Passed the examinations for Cable Jointer and Electricity Ordinance and Electricity Rules (EOER) at accredited institution.
