Application for Transfer of Ownership of Rateable Holdings with Local Councils

Transfer of ownership of rateable holdings is important to make sure the assessment bill being issued to the correct owner. It is the duty of the seller/transferor and the purchaser/ transferee to give notice of transfer to the Local Council by apply for transfer of ownership of rateable holdings.
The following supporting document are required for this application :
  1.  If the property is sold and transferred :

      a) Proof of ownership :
  • Land Title or Title Extract; or
  • If no Land Title, Certificate by Ketua Kampung and witness by family member of the land owner / Statutory Declaration form; or
  • Sale and Purchase Agreement; or
  • Memorandum of Transfer
        b) Notice of Sale or Transfer (Form F) if the application is made by a solicitor

  1. If the property owner is deceased :
a) Proof of ownership :
  • Letter of Administration; or
  • Land Title or Title Extract; or
  • If no Land Title, Certificate by Ketua Kampung and witness by family member of the land owner / Statutory Declaration form
     
b) Notice of Transmission (Form G) if the application is by solicitor
  1. Seller / transferor / purchaser / transferee
  2. Solicitor or legal administrator acting on behalf of  seller/transferor/purchaser/ transferee
  1. Online via Service Sarawak portal and mobile apps.
  2. Service Sarawak Centre at UTC Kuching, Sibu and Miri.
  3. Service counter at Local Council's counter.
All outstanding assessment bill must be paid in full up to the latest bill for the year under the ward-file applied.
  1. If applicant apply from January to June :
  • To pay all assessment bill up to the First Half  of the year
  1.  If applicant apply from July to December :
  • To pay all assessment bill up to the Second Half  of the year
This application is subject to approval by the Local Council.
