Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance 7.0 is offered to strengthen the activities of enterprises and businesses.

Measure 1: Special One-Off Financial Assistance 0f RM10,000 For Active Businesses Registered In Sarawak With SOCSO

Special one-off financial assistance of RM10,000 for approximately 40,000 active businesses in Sarawak registered with SOCSO as of 31st December 2020.
This special financial assistance will be paid in two tranches, RM5,000 in September and the remaining RM5,000 will be paid in December 2021.
Measure 2: Relaxation of Government Procurement Policy due to Pandemic Covid-19
  • Grant automatic Extension of Time (EOT) as a direct consequence of MCO 3.0;
  • Liquidated and Ascertained Damages (LAD) already imposed shall be waived during the gazetted MCO period;
  • Payment valuations and assessments shall be automatically carried out at the end of every month and to allow minimum interim payment of RM1,000 monthly for all State Contracts;
  • Allow payment to Consultants’ Site Supervision Teams during any MCO;
  • Allow Variation of Price for government works contracts.

Measure 3: Renewal of Foreign Workers Employment Permit for All Sectors
The renewal of employment permits with the validity of labour licence for the plantation sector until 31 December 2022 during COVID-19 will be extended to all sectors, namely agriculture, mining, construction and services.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who are active and registered with SOCSO before or on 31 December 2020 are eligible for special one-off financial assistance of RM10,000.

Application is not required. It will be given to companies under Small and Medium Enterprises who are actively engaged in industrial and business activities and registered with SOCSO before or on 31 December 2020.
SMEs are a business entity registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or its equivalent bodies such as professional bodies or district offices in Sarawak.

However, this definition does not include public listed entities that are on the main board and subsidiaries are as follows:

(i) Public listed companies that are on the main board;
(ii) Multinational companies (MNCs);
(iii) Government-linked Companies (GLCs),
(iv) Minister of Finance Incorporated Companies (MKDs); And
(v) State-owned companies.

Sarawak Government will inform SMEs who are eligible to receive one-off initiative RM10,000 BKSS 7.0 by mail to the official SME registered address or email address submitted by SOCSO.
Payment will be credited to the official SME bank account notified to Sarawak Government. It will be disbursed in 2 stages, RM5,000 in September 2021 and RM5,000 in December 2021.
Yes. The government will cross-check with several government agencies to ensure the authenticity of the recipient's information.
The special one-off financial assistance will be deposited directly to the official registered company bank account.
