In order to carry out any work in respect of installing, constructing, testing, commissioning, calibrating, maintaining, repairing or operating a gas pipeline or gas installation or part of it, the applicant must apply for the Certificate of Gas Contractor issued by MOU.
There are FOUR (4) Class of Contractor can be applied:

- Class A
- Class B
- Class C
- Class D
The application is required to submit the supporting documents below:
- Complete GD-3 / GD-3R form
- Business registration certificate.
- Passport Sized Photograph
- Owner(s) / partner(s) / shareholder(s) / director(s) particulars, if attached separately.
- Competent person particulars, if attached separately.
- Evidence of insurance coverage under the Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 for competent person(s) who are employee(s).
- Relevant Mykad.
This service can be apply at the Gas Distribution Division, Ministry of Utilities Sarawak
Anyone can apply for Gas Contractor as long the person hold a valid certificate of competency or hire a competent person according to the requirement of the Cerfiticate Gas Contractor applied.
The certificate fee is free of charge as for now until further notice.
